The provenance of OMEGA in this venerable competition dates back to 2000, and the storied brand??s involvement in elite sailing includes the sponsorship of Emirates Team New Zealand since 1995, a stretch that includes several wins of the famous ??Auld Mug??. AMERICA??S CUP DETAILS This 44 mm chronograph is crafted from stainless steel, with a bezel ring in blue ceramic and a white enamel diving scale. The legendary Diver waves are laser-engraved on the blue ceramic dial, and as a special touch, the red aluminium central seconds chronograph hand features an America??s Cup on the counterweight. Crucially for a regatta-inspired timepiece, this special edition Seamaster features a race countdown indicator ring crafted in red anodized aluminium. The indicator features an hour disc underneath the subdial, designed to highlight the vital minute hand during sailing. The sailing design theme is carried over to the red anodized aluminium minute and rhodium-plated small seconds hand, both evoking the form of a boat hull. OMEGA??s exclusive CHRONO LOCK system is included to secure the chronograph functions when needed, adding secure timekeeping and the ability to lock your measured time. The caseback is engraved with tributes to the ??36th America??s Cup?? and ??Auckland 2021??, and are all filled with blue lacquer. All owners will receive the watch in a special presentation box in the colours of the America??s Cup. The watch is paired with a stainless steel bracelet and comes with an alternative complimentary rubber strap, both featuring OMEGA??s new patented Quick Change system. At the heart of the timepiece is the automatic Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900, featuring industry-leading magnetic resistance of 15,000 gauss and a 60-hr power reserve, all certified by Swiss watchmaking??s most prestigious seal of quality and accuracy, METAS.
